Committee Meeting

Pinmoor Children’s Centre

Minutes of the last meeting were read and agreed.

Matters Arising

Apologies for typing error in the minutes form the last meeting the telephone number for OFSTED complaints should have read 0300 123 4666.  Emails were sent to all centres about holding a meeting but unfortunately no replies have been received.

Treasurers Report

£1,121.68.

Issues raised regarding membership.

5/6 members paid this year fees since the last meeting.

2012 plans: -

A.G.M. April 21^st if Pinmore have the room available.

Childminding Week although no dates or theme could be about June 9 – 16^th

Do the BIG Toddle as WDCMA (possibly Sept) then we can keep 25% of the money’s collected to put toward another event e.g. Kids Christmas party.

Promote WDCMA a new letter has been put together, to be handed out to new childminders, plans to put it into an A5 flyer to be given to centres to promote us, and looking into getting a sign/stand that can be put up at meeting/events etc...

Complaints

OFSTED closing down childminders before considering their actions.

WDCMA to be there to reinforce/help and support.  Childminders have been complaining about the wording of the reports after inspection.

No consistency with the inspectors.

National Conference.

Only about 180 attendees, but was absolutely fantastic but way too expensive.  Thinking about starting a savings club in January 2012 so that more of us who want to go can.  The dates and venue should be confirmed shortly.

Yorkshire and Humberside Forum to be held 28^th January in Barnsley venue to be confirmed soon.
